Re: Samurai ... a great little shareware title for up to 4 ppl
The demo is on CPHL... and there is a PC and a Mac version that can be played together.
Me, Wang, and Fire Chief bought the full version for 19.95 online.
Funny, Nate asked me to post something here to let everyone know what we were playing, I must have not hit the submit button.
Anyways, to give a bit more info, the game is Reiner Knizia's Samurai, and it's a german board game where you strategically place tiles to influence the support of three different castes. The one with the broadest base of support wins. If you don't want to go to hotline, you can download the demo here.
I've only played a couple of games, but the game play is very elegant, not unlike so many of the great German board games that have come out in recent years. Simple to learn, but many subtleties. I even left the music on! Maybe we'll see it on BrettspielWelt one of these days.
