Behind all the E3 coverage of the upcoming blockbusters was a very quiet Firaxis/Microprose team showing off Civ 3.

The graphics look amazing. Check out the new diplomacy screen. Customized treaties... yum. Supposed to be a new trading system too.

I can't wait. It's supposed to have built-in multiplayer. Whoot!

I don't think it would qualify as a "sleeper" anything. Regardless of the E3 hype machine, half the world is waiting for this puppy.

    Can't wait!

    What I'm waiting for...

Civ 3 looks nice, but Master of Orion 3 is already at the top of my wish list, even though it won't be out for another year or so. Here's the latest developer's diary entry from Gamespy, all about the UI:

    Time to stock the fridge

    Full of Coke that is.

I forgot about MOO3, shame on me! I own MOO2 and I played the original MOO quite a bit. Also very nice games. I'll probably be waiting more for Civ3, but if/when MOO3 comes out for the Mac, I'll buy it too, no question.

Perhaps it's time to invest in a cheap PC in case they don't get ported... oh, and for Mech Commander 2 as well. 8)
