I picked up this game for my Xbox today, and I gotta say -- I haven't had this much fun playing a silly mindless video game EVER. The animation & toon environments are flawless, the sound design is incredible, and the characters and weapons are HILARIOUS!

The game play is fantastic, too. You get ridiculous weapons like an axe to chop other toons' cars in half, a giant hammer to literally smash them flat, ACME extend-o-spring boxing gloves, harpoons ... this game puts the wack in wacky. My favorite character by far is the this noir duck who talks with a bad Cagney accent, and actually says "Schwanky" when he scores off someone.

The game isn't remotely complicated, but there are some tactical elements to master--using the terrain, checking six periodically and doing your best to be shooting into furballs from a distance instead of going mano y mano with three or four others. The usual combat melee stuff. And boy... is this game ever a full-on fast-paced adrenaline rush melee.

I'm sure glad I ignored the hoity-toity Gamespot reviewer who panned this game ... he must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed the day he wrote that review. This game is awesome. I can't wait to bust this one out at a #CP# gathering.

It's going to be a christmas present for my boy. We've been playing the demo consistently and have had a blast.

Jet Set Radio Future is going to be another must-have... like an 'adult' version of Cel Damage. Still silly, but more skill involved.

    That's my cue...

January, it's only just across the bay, no excuses. Bring the box and people can have a whack at it.
