Just a brief look at what's being added to the PC version. Once a few guys here pick it up and confirm that it's bug free and playable I'll probably grab the game.

The PC beta is over, so I guess this public msg. is ok.

I was a beta tester for the PC version. We hammered on it pretty hard. Technically, there are no bugs. Believe it or not, MS QA is a step above Bungie's old QA (remembers the vitriol directed at the Myth2 uninstall bug :) It was impressive how thorough a test it got.

There were a few MP map issues that I know were reported (by me and dozen others) and were going to be fixed before going gold, but we were not privy to that very last set of fixes. Other than that one unknown, the product is fine. I can't imagine it didn't get fixed. They were pretty minor and easy to reproduce.

The 'official' word on the street, of course, will slowly filter out as John Q Public gets his grubby little gaming hands on it, but I'd hanker it's going to be pretty smooth sailing.

About the only thing that I did not see truly tested was having hundreds of servers up and all getting hammered at the same time, but it sounds like that would not have been possible. The nice thing, of course, is that folks can host their own games, (you're not tied to gamespy) so a private CP nite of Halo PC/Mac is certainly possible. I hope some of you LPB are up for it! :)

    Re: Halo preview

the game is good but it has lots to fix. the gunz spred shot to fast and arnt very accreat. the mini gun on the vehicle dont kill fast. jumping is not that good. the gunz need to shoot a bit more accreat. u cant kick ppl out of servers. with out the person who made the server i hear that can kick. u cant see your ping kills deaths dureing game. u have to wait untill end. ither then that its ok.
