Re: Myth II Bushido

Bushido was made by Creation, and so far as I know they no longer have any web presence...not many of the mapmaking groups do anymore.

However, we run a hotline server at hotline.clanplaid.net, and we've got just about every myth map you could want, Bushido included.

If you're never used hotline before, it's a chat/file transfer program. Kinda like a combination of an IRC and an FTP server. You'll need a client to login to the server. Just get the official Hotline client for your particular OS (http://www.hotspringsinc.com/pages/060down.html), unless you're running OS X, then your best bet is a 3rd party client called Frogblast (http://ayanamichan.com/richard/frogblast/)

Then connect to hotline.clanplaid.net, and leave the login and password blank. Once you're on just ask the group how to download and they'll hook you up.

Hotline Connect has an OS X version... does that version not work well?

It probably works fine, but I've never tried it. But seeing as how Frogblast doesn't have banner ads, I'm willing to recommend it over the official client sight unseen ;)

Thank you so much Moridin for such a fast and consistent awnser, i got more than what i asked for on the HL server, met very nice people in chat, and discovered a banner free client for a network i turned my back on a few years ago ;)

If the net is still a good place to hang out, it's because of people like YOU !

All the best to the whole team

    Hey, here's a cool thing!

I just found out the current owners of Hotline have released the source code as an open source project!

    Check out Project OpenSprings:

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/opensprings/

I wasn't able to find prebuilt Windows or Mac binaries anywhere, though, and since I don't have Code Warrior 8 for Windows I can't compile it myself. :(

The open source version would be banner-free, too.

They also released the source code of the shared sketching program Netscrawl.

Is this still a way to get hold of the Bushido plug-in for Myth?
